Thank you for signing up for this fun adoption event at Petco in Fenton! Shane, the GM, will be your contact person at the store. Please ask for him when you arrive, and he will show you where to set up. I have also cc’d Shane in on this email in case you have any questions. Petco will be providing an event table and a few chairs for us, but please bring a folding chair for yourself, just in case.
Fosters, if you need any supplies such as an xpen, blankets, puppy pads etc. please let us know beforehand so we can get the items ready for you to pick up before the event. Please call our main number for assistance with any items you may need. 314-771-6121.
Big, BIG reminder: It is not Stray Rescue's policy to conduct on-the-spot adoption transfers at adoption events. We could get in trouble with Dept. of Ag if this happens. Adoption events are the first step in the adoption process, no animals should be going home with potential adopters from an event, period. Please contact your foster/adoption team if you have any questions or need a refresher on our adoption policies!
Please leave enough time to get to your event on time (or 5-10 minutes early)
Remember to keep a distance from any other dogs at the event and if anyone seems stressed, please don't hesitate to take them home or bring them back to Pine.
Please do not let children rush up to pet the animals and pay very close attention to the dog's body language at all times!
If at any time your animal shows any nervousness or aggression, please leave the event.

This adoption event will take place on the first Saturday of each month and the sign up looks a little different. Simply scroll down to the calendar at the bottom of this page, find the first Saturday of the month. You will notice various positions to sign up for. Click on the position you would like and fill out the required information. If all the positions are already taken you will see "Full" when you hover over the position. grant@strayrescue.org
*Pay no attention to the Start Date to the right, that is when the first scheduled event takes place.
*When you sign up you will receive an email. If you wish to cancel the registered activity, there is a link at the bottom of this email with a link to remove yourself from the event.
