Easter Vintage Car Show in Forest Park

Stroll among the hundreds of extraordinary examples of fine automobiles from the past that will grace Festival & Parking Plaza (The Muny upper parking area) in Forest Park for this event held on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026.

The viewing public is invited free of charge to see the magnificent display from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Presented by the Horseless Carriage Club of Missouri, Inc. and sponsored by AAA, the “Easter Show” is the largest and most significant gathering of authentic restored and original antique vehicles 25 years old and older; with many dating back to the dawning days of the automotive industry more than a century ago. The Horseless Carriage Club of Missouri, Inc., one of the oldest car clubs west of the Mississippi, founded by the Captains of St. Louis automotive industry in 1944.

Hello everyone!

Thank you for signing up for Sunday’s adoption event at in Forest Park! This event is located in the upper Muny parking lot. We had originally listed the times for this event as 11am to 3pm but Monica has to leave a little early so we are going to take it to 2pm, of course you are free to stay longer if you would like to.

I have attached a photo of the set up area, look for our information table with the black tablecloth. Parking is always challenging because we aren’t able to block off any spaces for an event like this. Sunday forecast: 57 and sunny!

Fosters, if you need any supplies such as an xpen, blankets, puppy pads etc. please let us know beforehand so we can get the items ready for you to pick up before the event.

FEFA Financial is our amazingly generous adoption sponsors from April 1st through April 14th! Animals 6 months or older.

Big, BIG reminder: It is not Stray Rescue's policy to conduct on-the-spot adoption transfers at adoption events. We could get in trouble with Dept. of Ag if this happens. Adoption events are the first step in the adoption process, no animals should be going home with potential adopters from an event, period. Please contact your foster/adoption team if you have any questions or need a refresher on our adoption policies!

Please take lots of pictures and post them to social media #strayrescue and #petco.
Leave enough time to get to your event on time (or 5-10 minutes early)

Remember to keep a distance from any other dogs at the event and If at any time your animal shows any nervousness or aggression, please leave the event.
Please do not let children rush up to pet the animals and pay very close attention to the dog's body language at all times!
Please do not offer treats or attention to the animals of patrons at the location.
If an accident or incident occurs at the event, a Shelter Incident Report must be completed. Reports are in the Event Kit and should be turned over to the Shelter Manager at SR within 24 hours of completion.
We take every accident or incident seriously, documentation is vital. The injured party/legal guardian should fill the Shelter Incident Report out. If the injury requires professional medical treatment, they should be instructed to go to the nearest Concentra or Urgent Care immediately. If first aid and/or professional medical treatment is refused, a reason must be stated, and we must get their signature. Do not leave an event without a fully completed report.

• There are limited slots for fosters to sign up, fosters are considered volunteers so don’t let that throw you when you read "10 volunteers needed" click on the box under "Choose" and scroll down to fill in your contact information. In the comments section at the bottom list your foster pet(s) name and age. click on the box (bottom right) that says I'm not a robot, then click submit. • You will then receive an email thanking you for signing up and giving you instructions on how to remove yourself if you need to. Keep the email and refer to it. It's important to free up the space if you cannot attend.

Foster Drop by and set up camp any time during this event. Foster parents with friendly adoptable dogs. Puppies must be at least 10 weeks old and a week past their second round of shots. Uncertain? please contact our clinic or foster desk 314-771-6121. Need an xpen, crate or any other supplies for this event, please contact our front desk to arrange to have the items ready for you to pick up prior to the event. You will receive an informational email the day before the event. If it is a weekend event and you sign up the day of, you will most likely not receive a reminder email. I send out the emails individually and we try and put enough information about the event on this sign-up page the week prior to make it as stress free as possible. Please list the names and ages of the foster animals you will be bringing in the comments section at the bottom of the sign-up page. It is important that regardless of what you call your foster, always use the Stray Rescue name while at adoption events or bringing them to the clinic. When you sign up you will receive an email. Event Coordinator ECs work as a liaison between the venue and Stray Rescue. You should be knowledgeable about our organization, pet adoption and fostering procedures. EC's stop by SR and pick up an event kit which contains SR promotional materials, tablecloth, donation box etc. Sometimes the venue provides a table, if not we will have one for you to take. You will receive an email reminder approximately one to two days before the event with further details. When you sign up you will receive an email.
