Help us raise funds for a new autoclave machine!
This is called an autoclave. It reaches a specific temperature and pressure to sterilize all of our surgical equipment. Ours went ka-put, and we had the repair man out. He said "This is too old and too broken to fix." He offered us a loaner until we can order one ourselves.
"We don't buy things just to buy things. We use our equipment until it runs into the ground," Clinic Manager, Julia.
They are definitely pricey, and so we're hoping we can all come together again to reach the goal. This particular machine costs $6,600.
We use it many times a day as we perform up to 20 surgeries (that's right! 20 surgeries!) scheduled every single day. It uses steam under pressure to kill harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores on items that are placed inside a pressure vessel, making it safe to use on the next patient.
